Sketch Portraits

What started as an exercise in value became a painting style Alyx craved.  The simplicity of Sketch Portraits allows the subject to show though unlike any other – a subject seems to glow.  The black on white paired with selective detail minimizes distraction and instead highlights what makes the subject unique.  Often produced in large format, paintings are done with artist grade acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas from a photo.  More information on commissioning a work for your home or as a gift can be found on the Commission page or by contacting Alyx.
